After her great breakthrough in 2006, 2007 was a hard season for Na Li, as injuries prevented her to get her top level and she even missed a big part of the season. But 2008 has started in a different way. With an eye on Beijing Olympic Games, Li has made a great comeback in Gold Coast tournament. Not only she has taken the title, but she has also beaten three Top 20 players including Sybille Bammer, Patty Schnyder and Nicole Vaidisova and also raising talent Victoria Azarenka in the final. She has made it in her own style, overcoming difficult situations in the matches against Bammer, Schnyder and Azarenka, which were decided in the third set.
